Volunteers Always Needed
As a small library, our volunteers are valuable and make possible all the things that we do!
Most volunteers spend 2 hours per week at the Library. Select times that work for you.
- Children’s Programming Volunteers – help with preparing and conducting storytimes, K-6 programs, & teen activities: Mon 4-6, Tue 10-12, Wed 10-12, Thu 10-12 and 5-8, Sat 9-2.
- Through the summer months more volunteers, including teens, are needed to assist with the SummerQuest program. Help needed Tuesday 10-Noon, Wednesday 10-Noon, Thursday 10-Noon, Sat 10-Noon and Thursday 5:00-8:00
- Volunteer Handyman – Assist with basic building maintenance at your convenience during Library hours.
- Library Monitor – Help visitors feel welcome and help staff with miscellaneous tasks. Mondays and Wednesday 4-6pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-8pm, Saturdays 2-4pm.
- Circulation Volunteers – shelve books, prepare new books to circulate, check-in and check-out materials. We have an urgent need for the following times:
- Mondays - 10am-Noon
- Tuesdays - 4-6pm, 2-4pm
- Thursdays - 2-4pm
- Saturdays - 9am-Noon
- General Volunteers – help with our current projects whether that be organizing supplies, moving books, creating displays
- Outdoor Volunteers – lend a hand with pulling weeds, seasonal plantings and making our outdoor space inviting and clean.
- PR/Marketing Volunteers – prepare flyers, email marketing, social media content and deliver our advertising to residents and businesses in our 6 municipality service area (Buffalo, Clinton, Jefferson, Penn, Saxonburg and Winfield).
